Someone Asked, Dave why build Cross’s… Well, I don’t know… I just started doing it! But I can tell you this…When I build a Cross… this is the one I look upon…. I call it The Sacrifice! In the Journey to Build a Cross, one must reflect on what did the Cross mean? What was the Landscape? And what was the Purpose? To see a Cross, to some may bring on a feeling of Peace, or remind them of a Savior that died for the Sins of the World. But what must be understood, was the Ruggedness, the Loneliness, the Struggle… The Scene at the Crucifixion was no party, and certainly no rose garden, for that Cross, was for the Savior, Jesus, where he took upon him self not one sin, but all Sin. The Scene continues as The Father, who can not look upon Sin, turned his back, Closed his eyes, and the Son was Alone… Father, Jesus cried… why has thou forsaken me? Then, when all the work of Jesus was done… he Proclaimed… It is Finished! The Cross, to me… is the Symbol that there is no Greater Love, than a Creator, willing to Die for his Creation… Why, So you and I could be FREE!
